The restaurant is in the heart of Milan between Porta Venezia and Porta Nuova and is patronized by show personalities and in particular by sport journalists. The “ Rifugio del Ghiottone” was established in the summer of 1999 by two passionate managers who, after years of experience in this sector, formed a partnership in this new shared idea to give the best of themselves.

The cuisine is of an outstanding level: inspired by both Mediterranean and Central European cuisines, with references to the past, thanks to the long experience of the chef who mixes wisely quality and tradition. In the dining room you will be warmly received by Gilberto and Nicola, who will take care of you and provide helpful suggestions with regard to our vast wine list.

“Il Rifugio del Ghiottone” is divided into three pleasant and quiet dining rooms, with soft lighting, seating 50 people. The chef’s suggestions spans from the “ghiottone” starter (mixed sliced ham and salami dried in the old style) to the “Raspatura di Grana” of Lodi with oil and Moscato vinegar; from “mozzarella di buffalo” with coastal lemon leaves to sea bass with radicchio; and to the faggioli soup.

There is a large selection of homemade desserts and “mitici” (small fruit ice-creams), red and white wines, special reserves and sparkling wines, dessert wine and grappa to round off a pleasant evening! It is ideal for couples, groups, families, companies and romantic evenings. “Il rifugio del Ghiottone” offers limited parking.
